I do not know about Soma, but the Rene Herse store currently has 1" threadless Boulder canti forks on sale. http://www.renehersestore.com/servlet/the-1002/Boulder-Bicycle-Fork-700c/Detail These are painted already black. If you want a low trail fork painted to Rivendell standards you would need to have it sand blasted first.
