my Schwalbe 700x40 Smart Sam's are 40.7 mm knob to knob on 23mm Salsa rims. The casing measures 38.5 mm They have nice side knobs and corner pretty good on dirt. They're just OK on the pavement. Wire bead and 540 gms.
