Would you consider a bike shop 'The Wild' ? There may be a better chance of encountering another Rivendell at a shop than on the road...
Anyhow, while having some work done at the Golden Saddle Cyclery in Silverlake , a fellow came in with a 60+ cm Hilsen of the same vintage as mine. Weird!
