I love the concept of the "picnic bike".  It brings to mind a casual, easy 
pace, summer days, etc., and a ride involving destination (park? beach? 
forest?) and a meal.  While any bike will do for such a ride, it's that 
much more fun on a Rivendell.  Lunch is often the focal point for our 
rides.
