If we're still talking about that Riv Italian-Ventile rain jacket, trust me: a Goodwill tweed blazer will not perform the same, not even close. I have a Ventile rain jacket, UK-made, now 9 years old. Contrary to Riv's wishy washy disclaimers, it's waterproof. Really waterproof. It also doesn't look even the least bit like a waterproof jacket. You can wear it anywhere; it's my most useful light jacket.
