I'm shifting 8 on friction DT and 7 on friction barcons. My daughter's go fast has Shimano (Miche custom) 9-speed rear with Ultegra road RD and Microshift 9-speed barcon. It is the best shifter I've ever seen. My next bike is going to be a Microshift drivetrain.
