A friend of mine suggested the rubber from bungee cords.  I think that could be 
done with glue and then a little heat to seal the seam.

Two ideas that I had were vacuum cleaner belts and those rubber bracelets that 
kids wear.  You might also try vulcanizing your own tires!

Hi all,

I nearly have the suspension done for the Sherman.  I need to get rubber for 
the wheels.  The wheels are 2.75" in diameter and 1.25" in width.  I would love 
to get an elastic band so the rubber would be seamless, but have had no luck 
finding such.  If any of you have ideas, let me know.
