just looking at this picture, i was wondering if there is any way you could 
 cut that rod in the middle, and add either a turn buckle or on of them 
long nuts  that they use on all thread. this would allow you to adjust the 
wheels so you  don't have a toe-in (where the front of the wheels point towards 
or away from  each other).
 
also, i see you made(?) some 90 degree pieces that attach to the bar,  
might i ask what keeps them together?
 
and what size all thread are you using to mount the wheels to?
