I'll look into the 305 stuff. What product are you using to make the molds? I'd be happy to see any pictures of your process. I'm trying to go into this as educated as possible so every little bit helps. :-) On Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 3:15:56 AM UTC-4, jmaxhl23 wrote: Hello Caleb!! YES!!! Smoth cast stuff is the way to go(at least I think the best way to built strong track) I was using the smooth cast 300 but the cure time is a little bit too fast to use with a larger mold of 5 track pad of each type(10total) to make TyngTrackSystem... They say 3min cure time but within 1min30 the liquid start to be un-usable, so I upgraded to SmoothCast 305 that is the same but you can take your time to cast the liquid into the mold! If you remember at the last Gettysburg battle both my SU-76 tracks exploded at the end of the battle.... That was my version 2 tracks and to it's deffences those where pretty strong, but I made a couple of mistake in the making of the mold that made the pads a lot brittle in the center, abusive use of the tracks in the winter made ice forming between the pads exploding them more, then abusives stunts to show off to the family going down stair full speed and jumping on and off small walls made the state of the track even worst for the battle.... Still, they did relatively well for the battle...! Now I'm finalising the V3 track with the best mold I ever made yet hopping to make my best tracks set yet! The trick after that is in the mold but it's a lot more complex to explain just like that textually...! But I can still show you my molding method by mean of a lot of pictures maybe on Facebook?? Tell me what you think of that, hope it's of some help! I see Frank used Smooth-Cast 300 for his Tiger a long time ago. Is that still the recommended stuff? Any tips, tricks or general advice you can pass along is appreciated. I've finally got a working drive system in the Locust but the tracks are falling apart. Time to upgrade. Thanks, Caleb -- -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
