You are cordially invited to attend the Resource Description and Access (RDA) Update Forum at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio,Texas. This question and answer session about Resource Description and Access (RDA) is sponsored by the ALCTS Cataloging and Classification Section and will be held in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center Theater on Saturday, January 21, 2006, from 4 to 6 P.M. Resource Description and Access (RDA) is the successor to AACR2. It is a progressive set of content rules that will soon have a profound effect on cataloging and metadata practices in libraries and other information organizations. Jennifer Bowen, ALA's representative to the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) will provide an update on the work being done on Resource Description and Access (RDA). Bowen and Barbara Tillett, the Library of Congress's representative to the JSC, will be on hand to answer questions from members of the audience. Thank you.
