Many of our clients prefer 530 to 77X, as more patron friendly.  We do
both.

We do.  If you don't think they are published, use 264  0.  Having
imprint for unpublished material is one of the *very* few improvements
of RDA over AACR2.  SLC has been using 260 for all theses these many
years.
 
Library and Archives Canada followed AACR2 as opposed to the LCRI for
reproductions, as did SLC.  It's time to bury that LCRI. When
standards are in conflict, pick the best one.
