Hi Linda

All of the training sessions I've attended list that as one of the changes from
AACR2. Perhaps just as added as a note? Or as the element Form of work?

Cheers,
Alison

Subject: [RDA-L] question about supplying/devising other title information

I am wondering if there has been a change from the following AACR2 instruction:

1.1E6. [http://access.rdatoolkit.org/images/cmlink.png]
<https://desktop.loc.gov/saved/cartmats_1E6> If the title proper needs
explanation, supply a brief addition as other title information, in the
language of the title proper.

The instruction in RDA seems to say to only do this now for cartographic or
moving image resources:

RDA 2.3.4 ... In general, do not supply other title information. Other title
information can be supplied for:
cartographic resources (see
2.3.4.5[http://access.rdatoolkit.org/images/rdalink.png]<http://access.rdatoolkit.org/document.php?id=rdachp2&target=rda2-3884#rda2-3884>)
moving image resources (see
2.3.4.6[http://access.rdatoolkit.org/images/rdalink.png]<http://access.rdatoolkit.org/document.php?id=rdachp2&target=rda2-3899#rda2-3899>).

I have a program for an ice skating revue tour and was wondering about
supplying the term [program] as other title information.

Thanks for any feedback,
Linda
