Does anyone see a problem (NEC/UL/physical) with mounting microinverters to S-5 Mini clamps and mounting PV on S-5-PV Kits? The trunk cable could be supported with clips on the module frames. Wire management could become a bit difficult, but doable.
This would be a pretty cost effective mounting method compared to rail mounting, I think. The micro would not have much of a base to sit upon, but maybe a fender washer between the clamp and the microinverter would be fine. Has anyone done this? Obviously AC modules work great in this scenario, but that's not always what the customer wants... Jason Szumlanski Fafco Solar
