Group I might consider a third option SMA all the way, one additional island and go with SMA on the output side of the now two islands, SMA seems to work better with communication. I have a system someone else installed and there they used an outback and did a DC coupled it works but it has issues resulting from no communication. Yes it will cost more but the solution is a better one. Communication between all devices will result in a smarter better system.
