Jay,
Several years ago I saw a review on 7-8-9 or so Rotary hammers
(accepts SDS, max bits) in the Journal of Light Construction and their
top one was the Hitachi DH40MR, so I bought it and have been happy with
it. I too thought it was the tool for installing ground rods, they even
supplied the "bit" for that purpose. After many drives, I have found
that nothing beats a hand held sledge hammer though. I'm glad I got it
for the many other things it does beautifully. It came in a hard case
that holds many bits...have drilled many 1 1/2" holes in concrete, digs
clay/dirt etc great.
Living in the bush of NE CA, I usually go to the enemy for
specialized tools....Amazon.

HI All,
Any recommendations for a demo hammer, and where to get.
I don’t use it much, but for digging holes, and installing ground rods.
Standard 15 amp 120v unit.
thanks
