We do take it off line when the pulsing is bad.

Hi drake
I did a small enphase system with my 3524vfx some years ago. It was 3 M190's.
It had the same issues. Mostly it appeared during when the loads vs AC production were at a specific level
If the AC was high and loads low, it was fine.
If the ac low and loads high no issue
But if they were close then I'd get the pulsing you are talking about.
I don't have a scope, best guess is its harmonics.
I didn't like the pulsing and thought that it's bad for compressors, lights, etc so I stopped using it.
I don't know if is something specific to older vfx units or emphase or?
I would take it off line

The inverter is set to ON not to SEARCH. If the Enphase circuit is switched off, the pulsing stops immediately. This system has both AC and DC coupling.
In another location, with a Sunny Boy AC coupled with a pair of stacked VFX3524
inverters, there is some pulsing in low light conditions. The Radian and
Enphase combo is much more noticeable.

I would think that in time there might be damage. Check to make sure the inverter is not on search but I stead "ON", next if you turn off the enphase the the outback perform normally. Check the inverter frequency to see your frequency is shifting have one that has both AC & DC Coupling and no issues.

Hello Wrenches,
An AC coupled arrangement, with an 8 kW Radian and 8 Enphase
microinverters, pulses lighting at low levels of array illumination.
This is generally not too much of a problem.
Under certain levels of solar isolation, the pulsing becomes extreme and
causes the motors in the refrigerator and air-conditioner to pulse,
sometimes causing very audible vibrations.
Will this harm the appliances? Is there anything that can be done to
moderate or stop the pulsing?
Thank you,
Drake
