I just did a GridBoss job. Two cat5 cables are needed between Inverters
and GridBoss. See diagrams on Gridboss manual page 36 and 37.
One very useful thing I found was the extra help when commissioning the
system for the first time. You can log into PowerStation go to Forms
then schedule a conference call. Through the conference call you can
simply share your screen and they can walk you through the last few
details.

The manual seems to indicate diagrammatically that a Cat5 cable is
required
between the GridBoss and each FlexBoss inverter, but the text seems to
indicate only a single Cat5 wire is required between the GridBoss and
master FlexBoss.
Can anyone confirm if a single Cat5 will work?
I have a 100 foot run from the GridBoss to my inverters. I'm thinking
about
using a single Cat5 cable for comms and a CL3R cable for the RSD
connection
through the attic.
Obviously, the included parallel cable should be used between the
inverters. I get that part.
