Wrenches,

I do not do a lot of rooftop array work and am having trouble understanding
something related to 690.12 and UL 3741. I have a potential client who is
building a new permitted home and has plans approved for a rooftop array
and Sol-Ark/Discover AES battery back up. He has asked me to quote the
install and after looking at his plans, I noticed an absence of MLPE's. I
brought this to his attention and he sent me XR FLUSH MOUNT UL 3741 PV
HAZARD CONTROL INSTALLATION ADDENDUM. His interpretation is that
Ironridge's racking system negates the need for MLPE's, or that the racking
is an alternative to using MLPE's. I'm just not seeing it. Am I missing
something or?

Thanks,
Michael
