For me, the biggest lacking in REALbasic, is it's editfield.

I'm thinking of making a project, in either RB, or Cocoa.

The advantage of RB, is that it will be easier to code, and if I stick to pure RB, or my ElfData plugin, I can get it compiling on all platforms. The disadvantage is that it will look "emulated" even on the Mac, because we don't have a proper NSTextField, what with all it's inbuilt spell checking, undo, and other handy features. It's better to have an app that works on one platform than one which no one likes for all platforms.

The good news is that by the end of the year, you will have the NSTextField based editfield, since REALbasic will be able to build Cocoa applications, not just Carbon applications.
