The 0 displays right? Everything is as it should be...
If you actually want to see the numbers changing you could just add a
line
x=100
while x>0
x=x-2
xs=cstr(x)
statictext1.text=xs
statictext1.refresh
wend
but it'll go FAST (depending upon the speed of the computer you have).
To control the speed better toss your code into a Timer.
