Not a stability issue, but one thing slowed me down a tad converting
5.5 projects to 2006… Mac Declare statements. It appears that in some
instances REALbasic 5.5 would permit the use of the wrong library
name in Declare statements and the project would still run. RB 2006
however does not. If you have a lot of Declares that span multiple
libraries (like I did), then you might be surprised to see an RB 2006
project crash or refuse to run and not be certain why or where this
is happening since RB doesn't help you much when this happens. It may
require manually double-checking all of your Declares for correct
library names. Once this was fixed, everything has run very nicely in
2k6 ever since.
I also think the 5.5 IDE is much faster and more responsive, but I've
slowly grown accustomed to 2k6 behavior.
