I seem to be able to create ContainerControl subclasses (subclasses of container control I created) but when I do the resulting class does not have a ContainerControl icon and when i put it on a window in the IDE it is "invisible" ... but when I run the project the control is there...

So the subclassing seems to work but the IDE/Window Layout Editor does not know how to handle it .. which makes it very hard to use and almost worthless.

Is subclassing container controls not supported, or is it an IDE bug?

Needless to say it would be just as useful to be able to subclass our own (or others') ContainerControls as other types of control subclasses and woudl be the expected behavior in EB!

I had a design in mind for a base class container control (mostly done <sigh> ) which I now need to reconsider... as I assumed I could subclass... now I guess i need to make separate container controls with a lot more code to manage.
