I even went to so far as to make a movie of the effect; I call it

because bug sounds so nasty and I'm trying remain positive about
RB2006r4:
Personally, I gave up on bevel buttons several versions of RB ago. I
was never happy with the "beveled" look nor the behavior which was
quite different between Win and Mac for me. I much prefer to use a
canvas which displays picts much more reliably and can be fairly
easily coded to behave like a button.
