I think it would be nice if RB's webkit had a GoBack and a GoForward
function

BUT WebKit and WebKit should display in the same way, if not
there is two WebKit (Carbon and Cocoa)?
I found that iCab shows it like the RB HTML Viewer.. (using
Carbon WebKit?)
The Apple Example "SimpleCarbonWeb" also render it like RB HTML
Viewer but not like Safari.
I think this is one of those cases where Carbon and Cocoa differ.
I don't know the implementation details, but I'm pretty sure
Carbon and Cocoa access WebKit differently. That said, I haven't
personally seen any cases where there are rendering differences
that are significant that most people would notice. When REALbasic
moves to Cocoa (see other thread), I would imagine this will cease
to be an issue.
According to Apple's docs, Carbon Apps use Cocoa's WebKit system.
So, both are
likely to use the same core lib, a KHTML derivate.
Probably someone is willing to build webkit from source and provide
a plugin WITH printing support:
http://webkit.org/
Yes it looks like RS is not interested to do some more work on the
HTML Viewer.
There is also a need for a "reload" function. (there is a feature
request on this)
My Feature request was closed.
