Since I am guessing the original Swordfish project was in C++ , as was 5.5.5
-  maybe they decided to postpone Swordfish until they could re-start the
project but this time coding it in RB itself, now that the RB IDE itself is
written in RB. 

It would be much more sensible to wait until the newest incarnation of RB is
robust enough and produces native code of high enough quality ( performance
and memory management wise ) in order to be able to build  Swordfish in RB
itself instead of C++.   Doing things this way round makes so much more
sense to me.  If RS really believe in the REALbasic "idea"  they should be
doing all they can to eliminate the need to use ANY C++ in their code -  and
ours.. :)
