Highest meaning a "high" importance, 1 meaning low importance...

Here's how I'd rank them for myself:

Instant Delivery: 5 (very important)
Online Archives: 5 (very important)
Offline Archives: 3 (pretty important)
Email Browser of Choice: 1 (not so important)
Custom Message Browser Software: 3.5 (would be nice)

I thought I'd send out the example here so that people didn't misunderstand the ranking method.

Rank 1 - 5, 5 being the highest

* Instant Delivery
When a new message is posted, you are able to receive the message without having to "browse" around for it on a typical web-based forum.

* Online Archives
Searchable messages archives available online to include messages that you might have missed.

* Offline Archives
Searchable message archives that are available on your local machine in the event you're not connected to the internet.

* Email Browser of Choice
     The ability to use your current email browser of choice

* Custom Message Browser Software
Keep your personal email separate from your mailing list. Use of custom software would allow for high level of interactivity and live communication, including resource sharing.

My main purpose for requesting this information is to find out the interest level of an online community and how people prefer to access information. For instance, are you one of those kinds of people that wants all their mail coming to one email address, or are you one of those that would prefer to have one email address box for each of your different types of communication (i.e. business, personal, mailing list, etc.)

Does anyone else miss the "Hotline" server RBCafe? How many people would want to participate in something like that, if it were available?

Thanks,

Ryan Dary
