Hi Jaap,

Surely I am not RS, but I wanted to confirm your story, as it sounds a lot
like mine.

Through REALbasic, I finally learned the Object Oriented way of thinking,
after programming for some 20 years in a procedural language (BASIC, Pascal,
COBOL, and more). Thanks to REALbasic, a new world opened up, and I am glad
I experienced it. I have a lot to thank RS for.

A few months ago, I stepped out of my comfort zone again, and started way
down on the learning curve with Objective-C. To be able to plug right into
the heart of Mac OS X was the reason for me to go for it, and I have no
regrets until now. There is still a lot to learn, but I know it took me and
you some time to get into REALbasic and we made that, so I see no reason why
Objective-C can not be mastered.

If you aim at Mac-only titles, just give yourself 60 days to learn the
basics of Cocoa with Objective-C. You can do it, and there is no reason why
you should not try it (if you have the time).

And keep REALbasic for the cross platform projects, there is nothing better
for that of course!

Good luck.
