Well, in my tests, I used Command-S in a timer and switched to
TextEdit. When the timer executed, a Save dialog appeared in
TextEdit, that's it! Now, it should also work with ":".
Note that it is not always "Cmd-:". On my German Mac OS X I have
"Cmd-," as preferences short cut key in Finder.
Not sure about other languages/keyboard setups.
Ah, good to know. In french, it's also "Cmd-:" and "Cmd-;" but if
it's different in German, then it's something to watch for.
Using declares, it should be possible to invoke a menu item by its
position in the menu bar (though the menu items of RB (so specials)
always prevented me to make it working).
Thanks for the information._______________________________________________
