My guess is that, since this is not a bug, the paid fix program would
not apply.  If it's a property that can only be set at design time,
then there's probably a deep architectural reason for it (like, there's
a completely different implementation under the hood that's used based
on the value of that property).  Changing that might require a LOT of
targeted engineering time.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

But meanwhile, have you considered using two controls, differing by the
value of that property, and you show/hide the one you need at runtime?
