I'd pay $1000 for something that truly matches the competition... it 
would be $450 more than I pay to keep Delphi and those third-party tools 
up-to-date every two years, though, so it had better be darn great.

Crossplatform.... not much of a big deal, sorry. I'm a Mac user with a 
brand-spankin-new MacBook Pro but I don't mind Fusion or Parallels as 
much as I did a few weeks ago. Once I realized the university wasn't 
going to support anything except IE6/7 for the HR application (some 
PeopleSoft trash solution) I decided my paycheck was too important to 
not install Windows on the Mac. That's life.  (Strange thing is, the 
computer labs are Mac-only in my department!)

I honestly just want my data crunched and spit out on paper. If I have 
to pay for SAS or SPSS, I'd certainly pay for an RB version that did 
what I wanted. (SAS is PC only, so I'm stuck with that reality, now, too.)
