Okay, here's what I have done. To play the game of elimination I installed a
copy of windows xp on another pc, installed CW7 for Windows, and tried again
with the plugin SDK... same problem.
Then Brendan emailed me to advise me to use his Plugin starter, however that
seemed not suitable for use on Windows (either?).
Is there not one that can help me out here?
I'm seeing lots of errors like for instance the following:
Error: declaration syntax error
REALplugin.h line 199 Boolean (*clickFunction) (REALControlInstance, int x,
int y, int modifiers) ;
Error: declaration syntax error
REALplugin.h line 204 Boolean (*keyDownFunction) (REALControlInstance, int
charCode, int keyCode, int modifiers) ;
and so on... and so on ...210 errors in total for the example project
boxControl.mcp. Same problem for all of the other examples I tried.

I have a feeling it's something simple though, since it's the same on every
attempt: a whole bunch of REALplugin.h syntax errors.
If that doesn't ring a bell with anyone I'm still game for that dummy
guide.
