There may be differences between CodeWarrior for the Macintosh and CodeWarrior for Windows. If you are compiling for Windows only, you should look into the Visual Studio 6.0 or .NET.
Codewarrior is only really required if you must have plugins for Carbon PEF or Classic applications.
If you build your Mac applications as Mach-O, then you can use XCode on the Macintosh, and now with Universal Binary around the corner, there is a very good reason to switch to Mach-O.
