Subject: Crazy idea?

One of my clients has come up with a "bright idea". They want me to detect=
the user's bandwidth using Real Player and then select the other graphics=
on the page (standard GIF's and JPG's - not Real) according to the user's=
bandwidth. This would theoretically allow us to save a small amount of=
download time by using smaller graphics for users with lower bandwidths.

Sounds crazy to me. Even if it's possible I think it would be more trouble=
than it would be worth. What do you think?

Greg
