Just to add a brief note to this last post: Don't forget about Hi-Definition
TV!
Even though standard television is the current frame of reference that
people have in mind when comparing the quality of our streaming video to
television, hi-def TV is on the way! That's gonna raise the bar even more
for companies like Real and others who develop streaming video technologies,
and those of us who use them...
Certainly THAT level of quality for streaming video is far off in the future
for the web, but it's just something to think about (hint hint, Real...)
