Subject: Logging program for RealServer
Folks after over a year of fighting the logger/stats on both my old
RealServer 5.0 and now our G2. I've effectively given up. I dunno if it's
the RealReports program or just the way RealServer generates the reports
(but I doubt the former - thanks to many months of patient help from Jeff
at Lariat - thanks Jeff!) but either way I've decided I cannot trust these
reports anymore and sales is screaming bloody murder at me as they can't
sell a sponsor on our content without a reliable way of tracking hits.
Are there any logging programs out there that DON'T use the logs generated
by RealServer? I'm looking for something we can program to count how many
times a given filename is accessed - but it CANNOT use the data that the
RealServer inherently creates because I don't trust it anymore. That's
really all I need - although if something out there can tell me when the
hits were made and for how long a file was accessed, that'd be nice, too.
Cost is not really an issue unless we're talking over several hundred $$$.
Thanks,
Aaron Bishop
