I managed to use complexe material on objects (see tutorial :
http://rexpioneers.com/?p=135) and now I'm trying to do the same with
avatars. But it looks like all materials functions are ignored for
avatar, and replace by a "multiply" function...

See for exemple a material with diffuse + normals (using :
SSDiffNormal.material ) on an object and on an avatar

Anyone has an idea of with material function are ignored ? And how to
solve it ? :)
