You're right. There're even PDF-only documents that are apparently prepared to be printed but have very bad and ugly layouts. But REBOL's outdated PDF documents have a really beautiful and elegant layout. The only problem is that they're outdated (and man, the PDF document has not undergone any updates since 2005! It's a very long time!) Anyways, for the time being I have to go on with the HTML docs.
