Sundanda, About QUERY: I don't believe that's quite true. I just tried this on just about every beta version between View 1.2.1.3.1 and 1.3.1.3.1 and it takes one second on my dialup connection:
>> probe info? http://www.colellachiara.com/devcon05/videos/Carl%20Sassenrath.mp4 make object! [ size: 137849103 date: 4-Oct-2005/15:31:55 type: 'file ] I think the only difference is that QUERY opened the port with a GET command instead of HEAD. Wasn't it local files which had that "cache it all" issue ? I'll let you know when/if I find anything on Apache.
