But there are some clues here: http://www.reboltech.com/library/html/mem-stats.html It's a script by Carl S that neatly formats the stats (ignore the "command only" comment -- stats are available in recent releases of other builds too). The total memory used is legended as "bytes". Though take that with the usual cautions.
