Friends,

Lyn has requested brief bios. I was born in Melbourne in 1928, attended RMIT
and Melb. Uni. graduating in architecture. I practiced in Hamilton and
Horsham (Vic.) from 1952 until 1968. From 1968 until 1984 I lived in the
Northern Territory. Since 1984 I have lived in Perth. During my stay in
Perth I have done a BA Hons. (Politics, Philosophy and Sociology) and an MA
(Philosophy). Currently, I am doing a Ph.D. and the name of my thesis is: In
the Naming! A Construction of Aboriginal Peoples by the Bureaucracy.

My partner Carolyn Brewer is about to submit he Ph.D. thesis named Holy
Confrontation: Religion, Gender, and Sexuality in the Philippines 1521-1685.

During my stay in the Northern Territory I lived and worked with Aboriginal
Peoples all over, but primarily in Arnhem Land. On the 3 May 1999 I wrote to
the group under the subject Missed Articles including an outline of my work
at that time.

Currently, I am not experiencing the best of health and this is restricting
my movements and periods I can spend on my computer. I have recently had two
operations (carpal tunnel decompression) which hopefully will eventually
ease the situation.
