When you want to code we recoment to start by learning how to build.
After that you can choose.
The last commit from pats shows how to change c-arrays into stl structures.
We have some patches from LO that needs to be integrated.
You could also help with the programm documentation, but I am not sure what the 
best move is in this respect.
Since there is a lot of developer docs available, but it is not very 
accessible.
