Hi Pedro, Steven is still working on refactoring the new streaming code. So hopefully issues like you are describing will be worked out.
As for sponsoring the functionality financially, we don't have any formal way of doing that right now. However, I'm planning on tackling this exact thing as soon as John gets back from his vacation.
