Gijs, These are all good questions that unfortunately I don't have clear answers for you. As you know, right now the project is not in a production ready state, and important parts of the code are being completely refactored. So, we have no data on how many simultaneous connections Red5 can support nor how we would handle redundancy and other important questions at this moment. All that I can say, is that we are certainly going to come up with a way to support large amounts of connections, but that plan of approach is still undecided at this point in time.
As for a release date of August for your software, that might be a bit tight, especially for the amount of traffic you are anticipating. Feel free to offer suggestions and point out things that you would like to see done with the project.
