Hey all, Just thought I'd intro myself. Currently working on an Athletic Department project to test the viability of doing websteaming of some athletic events (ie games)
Got the Windows Media solution working.... but what we want is technically unsavy people to be able to start a broadcast. Plus using windows media means that anyone not using windows media player is generally out of luck. So, after playing around with some stuff I stumbled onto Red5. Set it up on my PC and am currently playing with the SimpleBoardcaster (I am hoping this was a typo) and SimpleSubscriber. Simple to use and easy. Now I want to know how to hardcode the rtmp address and hide that box from the subscribers? When I said newbie I really wasn't kidding. Secondly, I would like to know if there is a way to increase the quality of the broadcast? Currently, the the SimpleBoardcaster looks clear, but the SimpleSubsciber is slightly blocky. Is there a way to improve this, or is it just the way it is?
