Hi Dan, What apps in RED5 are you using.
The other day when approximately 200 users were streaming VOD my small Windows 2000 server (1 GB RAM 3.0 Ghz) never went above 5%. My Internet connection is a 1MB (1000KB) up and down. The same was true when I had approximately 35 users in a Video Conference App. The spike I saw was on local machines accessing the red5 server. I had two local machines spike at around 50% at times. If you are stress testing, how many users are you simulating? I am using Tomcat as my container along with Java 1.6. Regards, Lenny On 4/19/07, Dan Rossi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hi, we've sent red5 live across all our stuff, and on a single machine it seems to hit the cpu fairly hard, but it spikes between 5-90%. I was wondering when the caching mechanism will become available again and if this will help with this. We are about to load balance across three windows frontend servers loading from a single storage controller machine over the local network. Let me know. _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org
