Hmmm... well I am trying to watch the stream now 06:55 GMT on Thursday and I
see a brief flash and then nothing except 'Buffer length' and 'Framerate'
which are both 0

It clearly was doing good things earlier so maybe the camera or your laptop
have caused a problem?

This line appears to have been removed.  The purpose of the section was to
manage something to do with low latency/low bandwidth connections, but it
seems that it also introduced some choppiness.  I haven't seen the hiccups
since we compiled the latest trunk.
