Dear all,

We're using RedDot 7.5. We have three projects in our system. When I
arrived to the office on Monday, and tried to log in, I received an
error, for only one of the projects, that the database for that
project was not available. We looked in the server, and the database
is still there, and still has plenty of space. However, we learned a
few things:

1. On Friday afternoon, someone managed to upload a very large file in
the asset manager.
2. On Saturday Late evening, our hosting provider put in a series of
Microsoft patches on all the servers.
3. On Monday, our SSL certificate expired (and was quickly renewed,
though it has nothing to do with the CMS server, just the live web
site server).

To rule out issue one, we restored the database to what it was before
the large file was uploaded. I think I can rule out issue #3, because
a) the certificate is fixed and b) it has nothing to do with the DB or
CMS server. I thought I could rule out issue #2, because the problem
was happening only one project, and not all of them, but I don't know
what else it could be.

Has anyone else had an issue recently with MS patches causing
databases to be unreadable? Is there some other issue with the
database that will cause RedDot to not read the database?

We're going to get the list of patches from our provider and see if
RedDot can shed any light on the issue.

Thanks.

Marissa
