Long ago, I used to use '7thson' as my username (see my entiries in the 
UNIX-HATERS handbook).

It didn't break anything of importance, but you never know what tools might 
assume.

This was under SunOS.

However, there *is* a RFC that specifies that a domain can't start with a 
digit, but 3COM got registered w/o anybody noticing, so they decided to scrap 
that restriction.
