Hello everybody,
I have the following problem.
I made a executable which prints directly to the /dev/lp0.
If I want to print something and the printer hasn't paper.
I insert the paper into the printer. But the printer waits few seconds
until it will print the document.
This delay doesn't appear in RH4.2.
It appears in RH5.2 or newest.

I was looking into the kernel.
The only one difference appear in lp.c file is about LP_STRICT.
I don't understand this define.

So, I want some help to remove the wrong delay or to understand what I
have to change in kernel ?
Should I use the old lp.c file ?
What is the link between the wrong delay and LP_STRICT define ?

I accept any suggests or ideas !
Thank you!
Eugen
