update problems

I have a dir of updates and use it to update my distro,
but when I run the update script ( the one in the HOW to) the resulting
cd will not install and gives anaconda / python errors?

First I run the updatePerm script
then the updateCD script
then the  updatehdlist ( which I have modified for the 6.1 tree)


What might be the problem here
